New York by Instagram

Dear Friends,

After six days in the Big Apple, I am home. I had a blast exploring the city with my BFF (thanks K!) and have decided that it would be impossible to ever experience boredom in NYC. Highlights included front row seats to Wicked on broadway, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, setting foot in Trader Joe’s for the first time (if only my suitcase had been bigger!) and catching some fabulous live music at the Rockwood Music Hall. Oh, and I saw a celebrity! Bill Pullman. I took a photo, but it was taken from so far away, you can barely make out his face. If you’ve never been to New York, get there in this lifetime. It’s worth the trip.

Here are (more than) a few snaps of what I got up to in the past week. I missed you and can’t wait to share a new recipe with you soon!

Love,

Amanda

  1. I love NYC, serendipity, and I loved seeing your pics. What kinda of music were you listening too in the club pic, and where. Thanks for the great blogging.

    • Thanks friend! I went to Rockwood Music Hall for the live music – it’s mostly rock and alternative music. The place has live music every night – you should check it out!

  11. Love all the photos of your trip… I’ve never been to NYC but I am just about dying to. It looks and sounds like it was such a fun time. And I just have to say this: I love the cut/color of your hair!

  12. Looks like a great time!! I went to NYC a few years back with my cousins and sister and we had so much fun! I seriously am wanting a bite of that salad with cranberries and apples!

  13. I grew up in Manhattan and always took visiting guests to Serendipity for frozen hot chocolate. It’s too impossibly delicious to describe! I loved your photo of the subway columns. You have a great eye. If you ever travel to the west coast or to the southeast, they have trader Joe’s there, too. It started out in California and my friends transplanted from there to DC introduced it to me. You should see their offerings at Christmas; it’s foodie heaven!

    • Thanks Christina! I’m thinking that from now on Trader Joe’s will be a necessary stop whenever I travel to places that have it. Have you tried their Apple Honey Butter?! Outstanding! I would worry about my wallet if I went there at Christmas time!

      • That sounds frighteningly addictive. I can put together a wonderful spread for a cocktail buffet at Christmas time. They make a great brie encroute with almonds, dried cranberries and brandy. Yum!

  14. Ahhhh New York. Gorgeous shots!
